Treatment programs generally include one or more treatment approaches, directed by teams of specialists in chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology and hormone therapy. Comprehensive Cancer Center of the Desert's medical staff includes medical oncologists/hematologists, a radiation oncologist, two surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, a specialist in gastrointestinal malignancies, and a clinical psychologist and pain management specialist. The medical team also includes registered nurses, experienced in oncology care, who may provide phone consultation to patients at home. Through this service, the patient maintains an important link to the Center as well as ongoing access to our physicians.
