The Breast Center receives grant funds to make possible screening and detection services available to uninsured women.

Our pre-treatment team conference offers a woman, who is newly diagnosed with breast cancer, and her physician assistance in determining her cancer treatment. Through the Second Opinion Service, women can seek consultation on their breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The Patient Resource Center provides access to a multi-media library of cancer-related materials, a computer with Internet access, a display of temporary breast prostheses, and trained cosmetologists to help with appearance changes associated with some cancer treatments. We also conduct support groups for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
The staff of DCBC believes women should have adequate time to ask questions, explore options and make informed choices about their treatment, recovery and health.
