Providing patients with access to clinical trials is an integral part of the comprehensive services offered at the Comprehensive Cancer Center. Physicians practicing in the centers recognize that for some patients, a clinical trial may be the best treatment option. They conduct investigator-initiated trials in addition to working with national cooperative groups and major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on phase I-IV clinical trials.

Clinical trials are intiated locally or through Aptium Oncology's central research department. The research department offers access to a unified, multi-site cancer care network that includes both cancer centers and physician practices.
