Dr. Andersen completed her undergraduate education in microbiology and chemistry at California State University, Chico, and studied advanced microbiology at both UC Davis and UCLA. She completed medical school and a Radiation Oncology residency at UCLA. She then served full-time on the UCLA Medical School faculty. Prior to joining the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Andersen had been in private practice since 1990.
