The Comprehensive Cancer Center in Palm Springs is an outpatient facility of Desert Regional Medical Center. The Center represents a collaboration between two leading health care organizations, Desert Regional Medical Center, a multi-specialty, regional health care delivery system, and Aptium Oncology, a national provider of oncology management and consulting services, headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Backed by the resources of these two organizations, the Center is a regional comprehensive cancer program, offering a 100-member multidisciplinary team for the detection, diagnosis, treatment, support and follow-up care for people with cancer in an ambulatory setting. It is our premise that hospitalization for many cancer diagnostic and treatment services may not be necessary nor desirable if given the option to be treated as an outpatient.
